Acting Secretary of HUD Adrianne Todman Statement on Hispanic Heritage Month 2024

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman issued the following Statement on Hispanic Heritage Month:

“At the Department of Housing and Urban Development, we proudly celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month where we recognize all that Hispanic and Latino communities have done in shaping our country.”

“From contributions in civil rights to the Supreme Court, from fashion to philanthropy, from sports to business, and so much more, we recognize and honor the resilience, innovation, and determination of Hispanic Americans.”

“At HUD, our mission is to ensure fair access to affordable and safe housing. We provide pathways to homeownership and seek to remove barriers to those pathways that create generational wealth. That is why we work closely with organizations that serve the Latino community to help identify those barriers and create solutions.”

“In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, HUD recommits to serving Hispanic Americans across the country as we empower all communities to thrive.”
