Statement of HUD Acting Secretary Adrianne Todman in Commemoration of Caribbean-American Heritage Month

WASHINGTON - Today, Adrianne Todman, the Acting Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued the following statement on the commemoration of Caribbean-American Heritage Month:

“Caribbean-American Heritage Month is an invitation to celebrate the vibrancy, diversity, and excellence of the diaspora and the millions of Americans whose ancestry is rooted in the Caribbean. People from the Caribbean have worked to make this country a better place.

As a proud native of the U.S. Virgin Islands, it is my honor and joy to continue carrying that legacy alongside my colleagues of Caribbean heritage across the Biden-Harris Administration who join me in service to all families. We work hard every day to ensure people receive the help they need, and access to programs, funding, and business opportunities that strengthens communities.”
